This session will test the Pentagonal Map, an introductory Miro tool that features in the Transformative Innovation Policy Resource Lab: https://tipresourcelab.net/ The tool provides a process for system mapping through a transitions lens to identify a dominant sociotechnical ‘regime’, helping a group to consider the actors, materials and rules operating within a system. It is open access and available at https://tipresourcelab.net/resource/pentagonal-map-for-system-analysis-group-version/ It is a useful precursor to the Multi-level theory of change tool in the Lab, which helps users to think about their system regime in relation to landscape pressures and the emergence of niches (alternative practices).
